Over time rust deposits, sediment and sludge can build up in your heating system. This may cause kettling noises from your boiler, some radiators to remain completely or partially cold, need frequent bleeding, with the radiator water coming out discoloured or dirty. It can also cause your central heating pump to become blocked and to fail.
Most boiler manufactures now recommend power flushing as standard when a new boiler is fitted, and some warranties may be invalidated if a fault is found which could have been avoided b having your system power flushed.
Power flushing removes all these deposits from your system, and is replaced with clean water which is chemically treated to prevent future problems.
Depending on the size of your property, and the number of radiators, this can take between 6 – 8hours.
